Welcome our New Executive Director: Amelia Harrison!
College Park Main Street is excited to welcome Amelia Harrison as its new Executive Director.
Harrison is a strong business development professional with a history of serving civic and social organizations. She most recently served as Executive Director of the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce in the Sonora, California area for three years and also held numerous volunteer leadership roles with the organization for 10 years.
“I first got to know the vibrant College Park community as a young professional and am excited to bring my experience home to help create opportunities for local businesses, Orlando residents and visitors alike,” Harrison said. “It’s an honor to be chosen to serve College Park Main Street.”
Harrison is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and began her career as a teacher in the Orange County Public School system. During her tenure at the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce, the organization increased its membership by 24 percent and introduced new benefits, growth initiatives, and outreach events that transformed members into active participants in the organization.
“College Park Main Street is excited to welcome Amelia Harrison back to our community,” said Daniel R. Matthews, president of College Park Main Street’s Board of Directors. “She stood out among the excellent candidates for many reasons, including her extensive chamber of commerce experience that aligns in many ways with our Main Street mission.”
Harrison began as College Park Main Street’s Executive Director on August 19, 2019.
